As part of efforts to promote reporting, a suspicion of avian influenza at a commercial poultry production facility in the state of Yucatán was reported.
Laboratory results confirmed the presence of the high pathogenicity influenza A H5N1 virus through sequencing.
The production facility was placed under quarantine to carry out anti-epidemic measures and epidemiological surveillance of poultry and wild birds in the area.
